You usually see him on any weekday at the northeast corner of Dearborn and Randolph. During the first half of the day, he sells copies of Chicago Sun-Times. In the afternoons, he sits down in that corner on the crate, begging for change.

In January 2015, Chicago Reader staff voted to unionize, joining what was then known as the Chicago Newspaper Guild (they since dropped the "paper" part). A year and nine months later, they still don't have a contract.
